Our story · Our guru
For over a decade, my journey with Nruthya Krupa Academy of Performing Arts in Mandya has been rooted in my love for Bharatanatyam and my passion for nurturing young dancers. With the valuable guidance of Dr. Kripa Phadke, I have continued to deepen my understanding of this beautiful art form. My vision is to preserve Bharatanatyam while inspiring students to embrace its traditions, values, and expressions.
As a guru, I strive to instil discipline, dedication, and devotion in every student, guiding them beyond dance steps to discover the true essence of Bharatanatyam. Through this journey, I hope to pass on our rich cultural heritage from one generation to the next.
Heritage of the art form
One of India's oldest classical dance forms, where rhythm, sculpture, storytelling, and devotion become one living language.

Tradition attributes the dance to Lord Shiva as Nataraja and its principles to the Natya Shastra.
The grounded half-seated stance from which the vocabulary of movement grows.
Precise hand gestures through which the dancer speaks of gods, nature, and emotion.
Pleated silk, temple jewellery, ghungroo, and expressive makeup—worn as an offering.
Performances across India
Each stage becomes a classroom—an opportunity to share, learn, and honour the tradition.
Academic excellence
A thoughtful progression from foundational posture and rhythm to abhinaya, repertoire, stagecraft, and formal examination preparation.
Students passed Junior Grade with distinction
Students completed Senior Grade
